Managing Funeral Director

Job Description:
This position is primarily responsible to direct and coordinate all professional support and additional services  in keeping with established standards and practices. Monitor funeral service operations and paperwork to ensure that they comply with applicable policies, standards, regulations, and laws.

Monitor organizational compliance with regulations. Also responsible for providing professional funeral services for the family of the deceased to include funeral service arrangements, conducting services, and coordinating the efforts of assigned personnel to ensure optimum levels of family client satisfaction.

Job Requirements:  

• Must possess state education and certification requirements for licensed funeral director with ten years of previous funeral director/embalming experience; three (3) in a senior, supervisory, or owner capacity.  
• Must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills including interpersonal, organizational, telecommunications, and supervisory.  
• Interpersonal relations, communication skills, and technical competence must portray a calming and competent manner to client families and be capable of exhibiting leadership responsibilities in the execution of facility and/or funeral-related services.  
• Possession of a valid Illinois driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
