Annual In Remembrance Day Celebration
Join us as we celebrate the memory of your loved one at our annual In Remembrance Day Celebration. This celebration is designed to uplift and encourage families which we have served over the past three years.
How To RSVP:
- Submit the registration form at the bottom of this page. The form will ask for the following information about your loved one:
Registration Information:
- A Clear Photo of your loved one. We will not be able to retrieve any pictures from obituaries.
- The number of family members that will be attending.
- Your loved one’s Full Name, Date of Birth, and Date of Death
- If applicable, the Branch of Military Service where he/she served (i.e. Army, Navy, etc.)
In Person Participation:
- Please wear your loved one’s favorite color, whether it be a flower, tie, short or any other accessory.
- Kindly choose a family representative who would stand and share one of the following:1. "What's the one thing your loved one always did to make you smile?" OR2. "How do you continue to carry their spirit in your daily life?"
In Remembrance Day Event Agenda:
- Join us at The Calahan Funeral Home Legacy Center, 7046 S. Halsted (Corner of 71st Halsted)
- 3:00-3:45pm - We will be taking family photos with a balloon backdrop and memory card completion for a balloon release at the end of the program.
- We ask that you please arrive by 3:15pm so that your loved one's memory may be included in the balloon release.
- The program starts promptly at 3:45pm
- A light meal will be prepared for you to take with you and enjoy with your family at home.
