Andrell Delmarian “Doobie” Brown was born May 13, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois, to Debra “Essie” Johnson-Brown and Artis James ”JB” Brown, Jr. Andrell was a graduate of Rudyard Kipling Elementary school, Team-Englewood High School and Kishwaukee College. He was employed at the Balton Corporation. Doobie was an avid sports and games fan and enjoyed chopping it up with his family and friends. He absolutely loved family gatherings and eating great food!! Andrell loved watching old movies, playing his game and most of all, Doobie loved his rest so much that he inherited the nickname “Sleepy” from his job. Doobie`s favorite is/was 4/20 for sure!! Andrell departed this world Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2026. His Grandmothers: Audrey J Brown, and Essie B. Lewis-Johnson. Grandfathers: Delmar B Johnson and Artis J Brown,Sr. and Sister: Angie Goldman. Great Auntie, Cynthia McMahon, preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his untimely death, his mother Debra “Essie” Johnson, father Artis J. “JB” Brown, Jr. Grandmother: Josephine “Mama Jose” Glover, Great Uncle: Steven McMahon, Brother: James Goldman, and Uncles: Delmar Johnson, Jr., Robert Johnson(Annie), and Jeffrey Johnson. Aunts: Geanester Deering, Mary Ann Berry(Rev. Willie Berry), Rev. Michelle Hood(Andre), Gloria Johnson-Lee, Nicole Pamela “Auntie NeNe” Johnson. He was later employed at the Balton Corporation. Andrell, affectionately known as “Doobie,” was an avid fan of sports and games and truly enjoyed “chopping it up” with family and friends. He loved family gatherings, especially when they included great food. He also found joy in watching old movies and playing his game, but most of all, Doobie loved his rest so much that he inherited the nickname “Sleepy” from his job. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Debra “Essie” Johnson, and his father, Artis J. “JB” Brown, Jr.; his grandmother, Josephine “Mama Jose” Glover; his great uncle, Steven McMahon; his brother, James Goldman; his uncles, Delmar Johnson, Jr., Robert Johnson (Annie), and Jeffrey Johnson; and his aunts, Geanester Deering, Mary Ann Berry (Rev. Willie Berry), Rev. Michelle Hood (Andre), Gloria Johnson-Lee, and Nicole Pamela “Auntie NeNe” Johnson. He also leaves behind his very special first cousins: Marquita, Deandre Cortez, Curtis “CJ,” Porsche, Darrius, Brian, Lamar, Johnny, Meechie, Shay, Kevin, and Bre; and very special friends: Stephen, Baby Joe, Tyriek, Anthony and the twins, Denny and Donny.
