Carolyn L. Campbell

Carolyn Lynette Campbell was born on November 3, 1980, to Stanley and Denise Campbell in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Hirsch High School and graduated in 1998. She then attended Kennedy-King College and received an Associate of Arts degree in Early Child Development. She earned this degree so that she could follow in the footsteps of her mother, Denise. Carolyn loved children. She worked at Kids Corner for over 14 years. Working with children was her true passion. She was a dedicated employee and rarely missed a day. She never had any children of her own, but she was blessed to have a special relationship with her younger brother, Shaun, many godchildren, and surrogate nieces and nephews. She was always willing to babysit for friends, family, or anyone in need of childcare. Carolyn loved her family and took pride in spoiling the children of her family and friends. She also got immense joy sending unexpected tokens of love. She was thoughtful and caring. Even though seemed to have a tough demeanor, she was the complete opposite. Carolyn would do anything for those she loved. She had many great friends who she never failed to be there when they needed her. If someone was not heard from in a while, she would make sure to reconnect with them as soon as possible. Carolyn gave her life to Christ at an early age. She loved church and stayed faithful until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Joy Choir, Junior Nurses Board, and Junior Women. She led songs and directed the choir. She loved to encourage others around her. She would win you over with her contagious smile, quick wit, and ability to make everyone feel special. She had a nickname for everyone she loved. Carolyn, we will miss your smile, jokes, spunk, sassy nature, attentiveness, and phone calls/texts. But, most of all, we will miss your love!!!! Carolyn departed this life on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 41. Carolyn was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Jackson, and her aunt, Carolyn Ross. Carolyn leaves to Cherish her memory her mother and father; Denise Campbell / Stanley Campbell, her brother; Kashaun Campbell, her grandmother; Ardella Jackson, her aunt; Myrtle Lynette Neely (Anthony), her uncle, Elmer Jackson; a host of cousins, other family members, and friends.
