Eddie Delois Taylor

With hearts full of love and heavy with sorrow, we celebrate the life and cherish the memory of Eddie Delois Taylor, affectionately known as Lois, who peacefully entered eternal rest on October 14, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Lois later made her home in Chicago, Illinois, where her warmth, laughter, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She was the heart of her family—a woman whose love was deep, unwavering, and unconditional. Lois was a proud graduate of Tilden High School and continued her education at Olive-Harvey College, embracing every opportunity to learn and grow. She dedicated her professional life to serving others, working with compassion and commitment at Blue Cross Blue Shield and as a Head Start teacher, where she nurtured and inspired countless young children with patience, kindness, and love. She found joy in life's simple pleasures—preparing delicious meals for family and friends, sharing stories that brought laughter, and traveling to create lasting memories. Lois had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved. Her generous heart, gentle wisdom, and infectious smile will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her. Lois was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alma King and Edroy King; her brother, James; her son, Sean; and her special friend, Willie, with whom she shared many cherished years and a deep, enduring love. She is also lovingly remembered by Clifford, her last love and faithful companion, whose presence brought comfort and happiness in her later years. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved daughters, Brandee, the light of her life, who carries her mother's strength, love, and spirit each day, and Camille, whose love, laughter, and unwavering devotion brought Lois immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her treasured grandsons, Deshaun and Antwain Jr., who will forever carry the warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love of their grandmother in their hearts. Lois also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by her kindness and grace. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, legacy, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.
