Rahmon Harris

Rahmon Tyree Harris was born into life on August 5, 1997 to Shaunta Joiner and R T Harris, Jr and went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2012. At 3 months old, Rahmon was christened by Rev James T Meeks of Salem Baptist Church of Chicago. Rahmon started school at 6 weeks old; by age 5 he attended Beasley Academy. Shortly after enrolling into Beasley, the family moved to Charles City, Iowa. He lived there for three years with his parents and younger brother Sean. He attended George Washington Elementary School. While in Iowa, Rahmon began attending church and learning more about God, he went faithfully every Sunday. While attending church service one Sunday in April 2010, the message was on baptism. Rahmon told his Nana, he believed in God and wanted to be baptized. His Nana walked him down to the front of the church and he was baptized the next first Sunday. Rahmon returned to Chicago in 2006 and attended Arthur Dixon Elementary School. He attended Lionel Hampton and graduated from the school in 2011. He was currently a freshman at Chicago Bulls College Prep. Rahmon was filled with so much life, he enjoyed being with family and friends. He often talked about pursuing a career in computers but his hobby was cooking and spoke of being a chef. He excelled in both of these areas. Anyone who came in contact with Rahmon knew he was a jokester and could be counted on for a good laugh! Rahmon was the eldest sibling, so he held the responsibility of taking care of them seriously. He made sure he took care of his Mother, especially if things needed to be done around the house. He was excited about turning 16 so he could drive and looked forward to starting driving lessons in the next few weeks. His memories will be cherished by his Mother, Father, brother Sean Harris, sisters Nyla Lampley and Akeelah Williams; his maternal grandparents M Diana Williams (Hakeem), Richard Joiner (Liz); his paternal grandfather R T Harris, Sr,; his Papa, Edward Conley, Jr; his best homie Kevin Lample; special sister Breyona Lampley; great-grandparents Cora Taylor, Emanuel Taylor (Janie) and Mr & Mrs Edward Conley, Sr; his uncles Earmani Conley, Mark Conley, and Enrique Harris; his aunt Shonita Lawrence; his god-parents Mr & Mrs Phil Samuels and Maurice Brown; great aunts Carol (Luc) Lagredelle, Tobie McNair, Paula Taylor and Jacqueline Conley; great uncles Anthony (Fatima) Taylor and Victor; cousins, a host of other relatives, classmates and friends.
