Celebrating The Life of Shawn A. Wade It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of the beloved father, husband, brother, Pawpaw, Uncle and friend Shawn Anthony Wade who left us on July 1st, 2024at the age of 57 years old. Surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments, he was a man of immense humor and wisdom; quick to share a word and a hug, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. Shawn Wade was born April 13th, 1967 to Beverly and EarlSr. in Chicago, IL. Never alone, Shawn was loved, looked up to, and protected by his brothers: Earl Wade and Antoine Bedar known to stick together and push each other forward. He went on to marry the love of his life, Monica Wade, and together the two raised a beautiful family with three loving children: Dominique, Jasmine and Christopher. The love between Shawn and Monica continued to multiply bringing them four lovely grandchildren: Dominique Jr., Kataleya, Kilaysia, and Monica. Shawn will be held in loving memory as a wonderful Father and Pawpaw, always the rock and a safe place to run to. Outside of the family Coach Wade has touched the lives of countless during his time with the Richton Park Raiders and Illinois Blue Ice, a title he sought out and wore proudly. For over 15 years Coach was committed to mentoring youth football and basketball leaving his legacy of greatness for an entire generation. If not on the field, Shawn could be found in the kitchen or on the grill blasting out his classics Sade, Whitney, or George Benson. With love, we will always remember fat meat is greasy, it’ll be greater later, and that family is everything.
