Taurean Blair Roberts

Tauren Roberts, who was affectionately known as Tori was born in Chicago, Illinois at the University of Chicago Hospital on April 26, 1983, to the parents of Pippa Rush (Smith) and Rodeny Roberts. Tori grew up in Chicago, Illinois where he attended Shoesmith Elementary School, Lewis Worth Middle School, and some time at Martin Luther King Jr. High School continuing to Lincoln Challenge to graduate. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age of 5. He was baptized at the Apostolic Church of God, and he went on to rededicate his life in later years at Fred Mount Pisgah. Tori was dedicated to every job he obtained while showing various skillsets he worked as an assembly line worker at Rantoul Products, a receiving associate at Rockwell Automation, Forklift driver at CJ Logistic and lastly, he worked at a Steel mill as a steel forger. He held a title of being a dependable hard worker that was going to show up for work no matter what. Tori was also a fast learner and mastered any task that was given to him. January 22, 2021, Taurean Roberts and Ebony Duncan joined holy matrimony and from this union a child was born. Tori was a very ambitious person who had a wide range of host of dreams. Although no one is perfect he always strove to present himself in the best way. His heart overflowed with love, making every moment spent with him a cherished experience. Tori had a way of making you feel like you were family if you were not, and if you were you knew you were loved by him. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who was in need. Taurean was devoted and very protective of his family and friends. He was known to be talkative and very expressive of what he wanted and needed to say, a deep thinker, stubborn, funny, big hearted, and happy he enjoyed music dancing and socializing. Without a doubt he kept a smile on his face and always enjoyed seeing others happy. Taurean passed on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Dorothy Ann Rush, Francisco “Frank’ Rush, William Reed, and his daughter Dinahya Sarai Roberts. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents Pippa Rush-Smith and Rodney Roberts; his siblings: Kelvin Ready and Ronesha Roberts; his wife Ebony Duncan; several nieces, and nephews: Niailah, Ramone, Kamaria, Kaiden, Khalon, Kyren; a grandmother Rebecca Roberts; 2 aunts; 3 godmothers; a host of family and friends.
