Repasts
At Calahan Funeral Home, Inc. we understand how important the repast is. A reception before or following a funeral service provides the opportunity to receive support for family and friends. Sharing stories and fond memories in a relaxed environment can be therapeutic for all who mourn the loss.
The repast also allows the family to provide refreshment to those who have come to show their support to your family. Our family celebration room is the ideal onsite setting for a memorable repast that celebrates the life of your loved one. We also have a staff caterer who can tailor a menu for your family’s needs.

Our staff caterer has over 30 years of experience in providing a delicious meal as well as light refreshments for family gatherings and sacred celebrations.
In-Home Arrangements
Let us know if it will be difficult for you to come to the funeral home to make your arrangements. We can set a time for our staff to visit you at your home to go through the arrangement or pre-planning process.
On-Staff Chaplain
Rev. Jasper Taylor has served as our staff chaplain for 5 years. A fourth-generation ordained minister of the gospel, Rev. Jasper Taylor serves as the Executive Pastor of St. Paul and Greater Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. He is privileged to continue a legacy of ministry at two churches where his father currently Pastors, but also where both of his grandfathers, distinctively named Jasper, served as Pastor.
Having completed his clinical pastoral education in the field of chaplaincy at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Jasper’s experience and compassion makes a lasting impression on families as they celebrate the lives of their loved ones here at Calahan Funeral Home.
